The day I died I put my clothes into a basket
I cleaned my desk and my table
in the usual way
It was such a simple question, but no one dared to ask it
I washed my hands and removed the cable
to be honest it was just a normal day
The day I died my hand was rubbered
the new gloves I bought
let me know I'd tried
I put some shirts back in to the cupboard
And no one else would've thought
that this was the day I died
The day I died I went and bought some potatoes
Searched the grocery store
got the best I could find
Made some chips and I smiled as I ate those
And that I would be no more
Wasn't on anybody's mind
The day I died I watched some TV
flipped around the channels
it was sunny outside
and I knew that no one could see me
And not even death panels
knew this was the day I died
