A song about memory loss or false memories or the lack of memories. It’s about how little we actually remember from our past and how much of it is just something we’ve made up to make ourselves feel better, or sometimes worse. Sometimes repressing the past can be a good thing, if the truth is too much to handle.

I once heard it said that we make up our own lives
Wives make up their husbands, husbands make up their wives
Everything's a story if you're brave enough
Put your money in the bank with interests trying to save it up
Rose-tinted storytelling is our worst addiction
You know the best day of your life is mostly fiction
A version of reality you make up to make life more comfortable
Living off a lie, you never thought was possible
