The song was originally written for a songwriting game in 2012: The task was to write a reggae song about Cthulu. I actually went with another song for the game, but I always wanted to do this one, and now was the time.
lyrics
Reggae Beatdown
I see you coming around
Verse 1
100 miles an hour driving
In the wrong lane
oh I am just a fool
please run away
I see you standing
on the ocean floor
but I don't love you anymore
Verse 2
Driving on the highway
I take a left turn
I stand still
to let the engine burn
I see you lying
on the bathroom floor
but I don't hate you anymore
Middle 8
Somebody tell me
are you real or fantasy?
Why do I always see you through my eyes?
It's love I've crafted now I realize
(It's a crafty love somewhere I don't know)
Reggae beatdown
Verse 3
I see you by the seaside
I look the other way
Down by the bay
the other day
I see you hanging
by the dollar store,
but I don't know you anymore
