This little story takes place in 1911. It’s kind of a pop punk melody with Doo Wop music that takes place in 1911, so it basically exists in three decades. The thing with the song is that the listener knows so much more than the characters in the song.

Well I first met her back in April
when the pink carnations started to bloom
and it was unthinkable not to be romantic
cuz she's unsinkable like the Titanic
