I wrote this song on the bus and the weather was bad and I knew early on that I wanted to have sound effects of public transport in it, but it took a while until I got the idea of naming the EP after that.
lyrics
Bus Ride
Verse 1
A ride on a bus
That just does what it does
But you feel like it's a waterslide
How the wheels spin? Who knows
nor where it goes
You're just going along for the ride
And lightening strikes
Wherever it likes
But you don't have sit down and feel the flash
And cars will pass by you
And maybe even fry you
But you don't have to sit around and watch the crash
Ch.
And I'm losing patience
As time goes I'm losing hope
And it's insane to me
How pain can be
And i forgot how to cope
And I'm missing answers
And there's no sign of relief
And I find it amazing
How you can find faith
In a world where I just see disbelief
Verse 2
A trip on a boat
We're staying afloat
But we know there's a chance we'd sink
Cuz no one can predict
When those waves will kick
The world doesn't work the way we think
And hurricanes hit
And you can't stop it
Natural disasters don't care much about you
And though you feel brave, you
Know no one can save you
Bow to the masters, there's nothing else to do
Bridge
And your rides are internal
Better go to hell when it's still light
And while you can you must burn
All letters to yourself you forgot to write
